The Barbasol Championship’s charitable arm, Caddie127, connects a biblical connotation from James 1:27 “to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” Just as Caddies and their players support one another, so will Caddie127 support philanthropic organizations that benefit and empower women and children. Caddie127 has named All God’s Children, Kentucky Children’s Hospital (UK Healthcare), the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Refuge for Women, the Woodhill Community Center, and First Tee as their 2021 charitable partners.
MISSION: All God’s Children provides care and support to young mothers and their children and families. Through Christ-centered ministries, our non-profit organization offers safe, temporary shelter and programs which address their physical, emotional, education and spiritual needs. By offering sufficient support and life skills, we believe that young women can move beyond challenging circumstances to become loving parents and productive citizens.
MISSION: Kentucky Children’s Hospital – part of University of Kentucky HealthCare -- is more than a hospital. It’s a promise to provide the most advanced care for kids across the Commonwealth. Our team of doctors, nurses, therapists, surgeons and specialists are devoted to one thing: getting kids back to being kids again.
MISSION: Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith based organization providing specialized long-term care for women who have escaped human trafficking or sexual exploitation. With multiple locations across the U.S., Refuge for Women offers up to twelve months of safe housing, at no charge to the resident, with around the clock care as clients progress through evidence-based, trauma-informed programming. The compassionate staff is trained to help residents work through the program to reclaim their identities and reach their goals to overcome addictions, heal from trauma and develop life skills leading to healthy, balanced living and financial independence.
MISSION: Together Lexington Leadership Foundation (LLF) and the MAP Foundation, seek to address many of the present needs in Woodhill through the building of a 20,000 square-foot facility that opened in May 2018. The Woodhill Community Center focuses on ACADEMICS, ARTS and ATHLETICS for the community’s urban children, youth and families expanding the number we serve with this permanent location.
MISSION: We know that character is something you cultivate. We exist to enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. First Tee Greater Lexington is the Official Junior Golf Program of the Barbasol Championship.
